March came in like a lion and according to the old wives tales it is supposed to go out like a lamb if it comes in like a lion. This year it is coming and going like a lion we had storms the first week and this week which is the last week of March it has been very cold and we even had some snow this week. I can not wait for spring to finally get here it has been a terrible winter and it looks like it does not want to end at all.

One of the things about spring that I love besides the good weather is the fact that Spring Training for Major League Baseball starts and the start of the season can not be far behind. Our first date was to a Baseball game and baseball has been a part of our lives ever since. We have made a couple of trips to Chicago and St Louis to see baseball games and I feel the need for a baseball trip to Atlanta this year, I can not wait. I hope the Cards have a good team this year, it will depend on the pitching, I think we have enough offense this year to make a run at the World Series.

Since I live in the midst of a lot of celebrities here in Nashville I always carry a sharpie with me to get autographs for my collection. I have talked to Peter Frampton in the line at the grocery store, had lunch with Tony Curtis in Las Vegas.  Walked with John Goodman at a convention and we always see some of the Titans and Predators here at different events. At one event near us in the crowd was Steve Earl and Peter Frampton. This is one of the reasons that I really love Nashville.

All of the professional football teams have started their off season programs and of course some players do not go to this very important part of their off season conditioning. Players who think they are in good shape and some that just do not want to be on the teams they are on and will try and force their teams to trade them, what some of them do not understand is the team they are on is maybe the only team that will put up with their crap and they better get on the boat or they will be flipping burgers next year at this time and that does not pay as well as playing football for a living.

It looks like we have made it through another winter here in Music City USA better known as Nashville Tennessee. We are no in the midst of the spring storm season. Diva our baby dog hates thunder and will be losing her mind for the next few months. She is a total mess when a storm comes through and already has had a couple of fits due to thunder this early spring. Lets hope it is a mild spring storm season if nothing else than to save our carpet and bed from being used as Diva’s potty when it thunders.
