As Christmas Day gets closer day by day, my thoughts have turned to what toys I will be getting the Grand kids this year. My main problem is David my six year old computer genius and what high tech toys to get him this year. My thought is to get him either a PlayStation 3 or a Wii. He is not into the cheap toys and he loves his Play Station 2 that I gave him a couple of years ago. He plays it every moment his Mom will let him.

Gift Ideas are hard to come by for the other Grand Kids who I do not see as much as I see David, he spends most every weekend at our house and loves to play games on the computer and my Play Station 2. He does not like the kids games he loves the sports games that I have and that is what he wants for Christmas this year. I know this will be a great holiday for the whole family but I think it is very important for the little kids to have a great Christmas every year and I will do my best to make sure David has a Great Christmas.

Web sites with a good selection of great toys have become very important to us with each passing year. Long gone are the days of looking at the Sears catalog and wishing for your Christmas gift. I really do miss that old Wish Book and miss the simpler days well gone by.

The hockey game tonight will be the first one we have went to this year, after having season tickets the last three years we have had to cut back and will only be going to a few games this year. I really miss the people in our old section and will try to make it down tonight to see a few of them. I can not wait this will be a fun game against St Louis. I am excited to be going tonight and can not wait for the game to begin.

Albert Pujols of the St Louis Cardinals won the National League MVP trophy this week and I am very proud of him he had a great year on a so-so Cards team. Let us hope that this off season the General Manager of the team gets Albert and the other hitters on the team some pitching help. I tend to believe that they are one good starter away from a winning team and let us hope they pursue a top notch pitcher this off season. I am ready for spring training and for the baseball season to start already.

For the first time this fall while I was watching the weather on the TV I heard the weather man say the dreaded “S” word. Yes it is a four letter word that is as bad in my opinion than any other four letter word any sailor could mutter. Snow is not a welcome word to me any time and the first time of the season is as bad as any electric shock or as bad as any dog essence you could step in and bring into the house with you any day. I hate snow, I moved to Arizona many years ago just to get away from snow and ice and I sure do not need it here in Nashville, I mean we are in the South. No snow need apply.

I do not know who to vote for today and it is tearing me apart. I do not like either pair that is in line to be our next President. As of right now I am leaning toward casting a vote for Bob Barr just to demonstrate my dislike for both main party candidates. I like John McCain BUT there is no way I would want HER as our President, Palin is a complete idiot and in no way shape or form could I support her as our President, she has about the same experience as Obama and that is not enough to serve as our commander and chief, and that is my opinion, I am going to crawl off my soap box and go vote.
