Just got through putting some burgers on the grill, and one of the kids has to have no onions in their burger and we put chopped up onions in our burgers when we put them on the grill, it makes the taste unbelievable. So we have to make one burger separate cook it separate make sure it does not touch the other better burgers might I add.
Now the burgers are cooked and we go to clean up and the child who ordered no onions only eats half his burger and we give the rest to the dogs, I guess its a good thing we made it with no onions cause the dogs can not have onions, oh well the dogs got a good snack.

It sure seems that there have been a lot of incidents of bad food in the news of late. The salmonella on the tomatoes is the latest scare. It seems we are always having meat recalled to some extent. We did not seem to have all this trouble till the last few years, is all the good food gone and we are living on the bad food that is left? I am glad I grow my own tomatoes because I hate to eat with out fresh tomatoes, they are an important part of my diet.

As I walked into the kitchen tonight i caught the aroma of pumpkin pie being baked that is one of my very favorite smells in the world. I know it is not Thanksgiving but who says that you can only have pumpkin pie on holidays? One of the meals we have several times a year is baked turkey and all the trimmings it is plain good. The pumpkin pie I could eat every day if possible. A great smell helps make a house more like a home.

There are at least 8 boxes of cereal on our pantry shelf. I had no idea that cereal preferences could run so strong between people.
I like the basic fiber and fruit cereal. Sometimes I buy a box with dried fruit already in it, but most times I buy something like Shredded Wheat or Rice Krispies and either slice up a fresh banana on top or add a small can of diced peaches to the bowl.
My significant other likes to have it already done – just open the box and pour a bowl of Raisin Bran or Special K with Strawberries.
The grandson is most likely a product of TV commercials. He wants Captain Crunch or Coco Puffs. What a sweet tooth he is acquiring!

Since the weather is so nice we are going to grill out tonight and have some big thick juicy burgers, the way N makes the burgers is exactly the best way for us she chops up onions and mixes them with the burgers. We both like onions a lot we put onions and green peppers in almost everything we cook. Plain food does not have much of a chance around us, everything we eat has something inside it, drizzled on the outside or is dipped in something. OK lets eat.
