Amazemerize

I know it is the summer season and I know it is going to be hot and humid here in the south but this last week has been horrific. It has been very hot with a terrible humidity and I am not doing very well in this stew pot we have going on here in Nashville. The A/C in my truck just stopped working and every day I am a wet mess when I get home from work. I need to get it fixed and soon or I might just melt in the heat before fall gets here. I do not worry to much about the cold of winter, we have very mild winters but the summer season here is hat and humid two things I have had enough of this year.

We got to talking about fun jobs that we used to have and that got me to thinking about the summer I worked for Servi-Tech. We went around plot planting seeds for different kinds of wheat and tended the plots all summer and fall and cut the wheat the next spring to test the yeild on the different varieties of wheat in different parts of the country. It was a lot of fun we got to travel around work out side a perfect job for a college age guy with no girlfriend, I made good money got to travel and had fun. Maybe the best summer job I ever had.

The worst of the shortage of gasoline for the year 2008 seems to be over for now, although it could start again at any time. This shortage goes to show that at any time our supply of gasoline could be cut off by nature or by an act of terrorism. The lines to get gasoline were long and tempers flared several times in the last two weeks. When a station had gasoline the lines were up to two hours long and gas rage seemed to be way more abundant than the supply of the product itself. Let us hope we do not have another episode like this one. We made it ok by filling up as soon as it looked like there was going to be a shortage and topping off when ever we found a station with gasoline, several of our drivers ran out of gasoline and had to be rescued, lets hope this is it for this shortage, this time!

I never seem to get ahead of the paper work with my job, if I do not spend 8 hours a day just filing and making notes I gt so far behind that I am in danger of never getting this paper work caught up. The worst thing about the whole situation is that my job has almost no paperwork just a few reports to fill out and the daily route sheets to record the returns and file the old reports then why do I have a pile 4 feet high on and around my desk? I think someone is bringing their paper work to me to have me do their work for them…..wait this is a small family business and no one has paper work besides myself. So something else is the matter not a paper work villain. I guess it is that I am to busy to finish the paper work maybe I need some help.  HELP!!!!!!

Every year in August I get so many weeds in my lawn it almost is a grass free zone. This year I have taken the battle to the weeds, I have sprayed the broad leaf weeds I have pulled some I have spread fertilizer with weed killer in it. This year I will have a weed free lawn if it kills me. The weeds have been fought back so far and the grass is still holding its own. So if nothing silly happens between now and winter I will have a great start on a weed free lawn next spring and all the hard work will be well worth it. I hate weeds and I hope they have spread the word to their evil weed family that my yard is off limits for weeds.
