The wonderful state of Tennessee has decided to close one of the busiest freeways in Nashville over the weekend. This has made if very hard for me to do my job. In our delivery business we use I-40 a lot and it is the way we get to several of our biggest accounts. If I can not make it my delivery sites in the time we have set I could lose their business. It is foolish to close a busy Interstate road to make repairs to a bridge that could be done at night. Just another way to harm the small business man here in Nashville.

As I sit here dead broke I wonder what happened to all of the money we had put away to retire with, I know that when the price of gasoline shot up it cost us more to do business and we still have not recovered from that at all. Let us hope the new year brings a better economy and a better life to all of us struggling to make ends meet in this world.

As Christmas Day gets closer and closer I am very worried that we will not have enough money to have as good a holiday as we are used to. We are used to eating a huge dinner and having nice gifts and this year it is going to be a little leaner than we are used to. The high price of gasoline and higher expenses this fall have made us close to bankrupt. I do not want to get any closer let us hope that 2009 gets off to a good start for us and we get back on the right track.

Our family has had a small restaurant for many years, since my grandfather opened the doors in 1945. I never seem to get ahead of the paper work with my job, if I do not spend 8 hours a day just filing and making notes I gt so far behind that I am in danger of never getting this paper work caught up. The worst thing about the whole situation is that my job has almost no paperwork just a few reports to fill out and the daily route sheets to record the returns and file the old reports then why do I have a pile 4 feet high on and around my desk? I think someone is bringing their paper work to me to have me do their work for them…..wait this is a small family business and no one has paper work besides myself. So something else is the matter not a paper work villain. I guess it is that I am to busy to finish the paper work maybe I need some help.  HELP!!!!!!
