The wonderful state of Tennessee has decided to close one of the busiest freeways in Nashville over the weekend. This has made if very hard for me to do my job. In our delivery business we use I-40 a lot and it is the way we get to several of our biggest accounts. If I can not make it my delivery sites in the time we have set I could lose their business. It is foolish to close a busy Interstate road to make repairs to a bridge that could be done at night. Just another way to harm the small business man here in Nashville.

All of the professional football teams have started their off season programs and of course some players do not go to this very important part of their off season conditioning. Players who think they are in good shape and some that just do not want to be on the teams they are on and will try and force their teams to trade them, what some of them do not understand is the team they are on is maybe the only team that will put up with their crap and they better get on the boat or they will be flipping burgers next year at this time and that does not pay as well as playing football for a living.

After the Christmas rush I decided to get myself a new phone and if you have not been phone shopping of late, do not waste the time just keep your old phone until it quits and you have to get a new phone. The sales person at the At&t phone store was so rude I will never do business with them again, he flat told me I could not afford to buy a phone from them if my contract was not up for renewal. I make more than him and his boss do in a week and it really offended me to be told I could not afford a $79 phone. I will be changing my phone carrier in the coming weeks and AT&T can go kiss my butt.

The start of the hockey season is just around the corner and I for one can not wait for my Nashville Predators to hit the ice again. It looks like we will have a pretty strong team and contend for a playoff spot again this year. I have decided not to buy season tickets this year they went up on the price again and with the other problems that we had at the games we just decided not to spend the money on season tickets. Not one of the shirts that we got at games in the ten years we have went to games there fits me, so I have had to buy any shirts that I wanted, a simple fix is to allow people who get shirts to trade them in for shirts that fit not everyone in America is a Large sized shirt in fact the shirts fit less than half of the people at the hockey games. The other main reason is the drunk fans around us, we do not drink beer and it is very degrading to be seated around a bunch of drunks.,Oh well enough ranting, just wanted to say go Preds.

As I tried to get the five miles to the bank this afternoon I was trapped in solid gridlock. The twenty minute trip most days took me three hours today, Interstate forty was shut down due to a fatality accident and with everyone looking for a alternate route to get home it made my afternoon pure hell. Then when I finally got to a clear street another accident stopped traffic on that road too. I need a bank open twenty four hours a day so I can get my banking done in the middle of the night when every one else is in bed. That would make my life a bit more tolerable.
